An iPhone/iPod plugin is included with MediaMonkey. This plug-in supports the iPhone (does not yet support version 2 firmware) and all iPods, including the iPod Touch (does not yet support version 2 firmware), iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Shuffle, and older iPods such as the iPod mini and iPod Video. It synchs MP3/M4A/M4B/M4P files and related properties including Album Art, ratings, volume leveling information (known as 'Soundcheck' on the iPod), play history, as well as Playlists. If you want the power of MediaMonkey with the ease of use of an iPod, your wait is over.
A WMDM plug-in is included MediaMonkey for most MP3 Players and Phones that are compatible with Windows (excluding the Zune). Such devices are often labelled as 'MTP' devices or 'Plays for Sure'. It synchronizes whatever audio formats are supported by the device along with related properties including Album Art, ratings, play history, and Playlists (assuming they are supported by the device). Note that this plug-in does not support Synchronization of WMA files protected by DRM 10. Devices known to be compatible include most recent iRiver, Creative Labs, Sony, Sandisk, and other players.
A USB Mass Storage Device Plug-in is also included with MediaMonkey. It works with almost any USB Mass Storage Device (a device that appears as a drive letter in Windows explorer) to synchronize with MediaMonkey, including MP3 Players, Phones, and Media Servers. All that is needed is to configure the device's drive letter.
MediaMonkey can manage a library that is stored to a Network-attached Storage device (NAS), and can therefore be used as the manager for devices such as the Sonos ZonePlayer. For more information see our forum or support site.
