Then you need to edit the Playlist files (the M3U files on your PC) directly. This can be done using any text editor like Notepad.

You can use the Edit > Replace function in Notepad if you want to make the same change for all the occurrences of this value. So you can Replace double spaces with singe spaces.

MM4 - and any other program you might use - will think you moved them, because you gave them a new address (and didn't tell MM that you did so). All the people replying to you are telling you that the first step is tell MM the new addresses - then you can deal with any other issues. You tell it the new addresses by using File -> Locate Moved/Missing files. As others have pointed out, the instructions on how to procede are here: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... sing_Files. In step 1, I think you will find the files to be located by going to Music > Files to Edit > Dead Links in the media tree. (Music is the name of a collection - in this case, the collection that contains everything in your library.)
Thanks yarguy, yep, that is correct, I didn't move the files, just renamed them and as mentioned a few times, I have tried the ideas, plus yours above and none have worked. However, I have just moved the relevant playlists into the MMG4 media tree and so far, so good.

Just noticed in my particular setup, I am talking about the playlists on 'My Computer' .M3U files Does that information help in this problem at all?

To make things a lot simpler, is there any screengrabs anywhere of all this?

Did you check the link? Collection isn't an item you'll find in the Media Tree, you'll find nodes that are Collections like Music, Classical Music, Video, etc. based on what you have enabled under File > Manage Collections.

Where do I find the 'collection' node?

Collection is a node like Music, Video, Classical Music. They are root nodes in the Media Tree: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... #Interface

Yep, but that isn't clear on those pages - where it says "Collection > Files to Edit > Dead Links" - where do you find 'Collection' ?

Then you need to re-associate the files in the Library as outlined before. Either use File > Locate Moved/Missing Files: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... sing_Files or the Update Location of files in database Addon: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... n+database

Yep, thanks, but am really wanting to solve the current issue.

Playlists node in MediaMonkey's Media Tree.

That was given above. The Auto-Organize Files was a suggestion for any future moving of files.

When you say Playlists, are you talking about Playlist files on your PC or those in the Playlists node in MediaMonkey's Media Tree?

Nope, never moved them - as mentioned, all that happened was that the folder all those particular tracks are in was renamed from:
Tested and good (two spaces) - (two spaces) Fast
to:
Tested and good (one space) - (one space) Fast

BUT, when trying to play a playlist where some of those tracks in the above folder are (in the playlist they still have the tracks detailed with two spaces in the folder names), MM doesn't play them and just turns the tracks grey.

A lifelong MM fan, and just need some help on getting this bit sorted.

You're not doing this on the files you had moved previously no? Those you first need to re-associate.
