No, MediaMonkey can't do this as it can only manage a subset of the device.

Is there an update to this cumbersome process? That is a quick way to fatigue my fingers...ooh, ooh, ooh.

I am able to go to itunes and click on a clear ipod or something like that and all is deleted from the ipod.

Has the Monkey included a single click menu item that clears the ipod of all music or whatever? We could choose clear music, videos, photos, or whatever so that some could be cleared or the entire unit cleared. Is that a plan?

I apologize if I missed the appropriate thread. You know the search could be: clear, wipe, delete, eliminate, etc your ipod contents. Whew.

1. Go to your device profile. (Tools | Sync device | options) Uncheck everything under "Auto-sync list" tab (for music, playlist, podcasts, and audiobooks tabs).
2. Go to "Auto-sync options" tab, check "Delete tracks that aren't on the auto-sync list from the device"
3. Exit options dialogs by hitting OK
4. Ensure "Auto-synchronize" is checked
5. Click the sync button

It took me quite a while to get my Nano 4 gen to sync with MM and I don't want to take a chance of messing up that ability.

I would like to wipe my iPod and re-load it by syncing it with MM.

How can I wipe the contents of the iPod without losing it as a device in MM?

I have iTunes 8.1.0.52 but I never run it, and would prefer not to. I am a novice with iPods and iTunes.

Thanks,
LBalsam
