I don't understand why you don't use MM windows to manage everything, including playlists. I have all my music in MM windows and that is where I manage everything. So I have a folder in MM windows where I keep all the music (playlists) I want to sync to my portable device (FiiO X7). Any rearranging is easily done on MM windows......then I just sync to my portable device. I never, ever change things on my device....I change everything on MM windows and sync. Works perfectly.
Also this way there is one master and one slave, all the info goes in one direction, not two, so I never get into the situation where I changed something on the device and then have to remember to sync that back to MM windows.
