Found my own answer sprint does own nextel.
Sprint is closing nextel completely either trade to new modern sprint phone or lose service completely, looks like to have your nextel phone work in 2 weeks you better use it as a doorstop or paper weight. Also found out for the nextel costumers on USA border area in Mexico, sorry your service will end sprint don't work in Mexico. You'll have to find a new service.

So looks like i got a paper weight too in a few weeks.

Nextel is gone but what happened to their phone service?
Can i still use their phone or is it a paper weight.?
I heard sprint was one that bought nextel ?
Any one know.?
