today i did an all new installation of alpha 2138 (after deleting my old alpha installation folder completely losing my auto-playlists and my individual hotkeys ... *sigh*). BUT at least the explorer window does open in the foreground.

what should i say. It is getting odd using MM5 on my Windows tablet.

[list]It is very unstable. While i start to use MM5 more often on my desktop system for the crahses are getting less, it is a pain on my tablet.
I can reproduce that the explorer window opens behind the MM window, BUT not always. I cannot find a rule, but it seems that it opens at least when MM is not maximized. Unfortunately not in all cases.

I hope for the next releases. That far i will live with a hidden explorer window :D

after reading your posting, i've tried it out with another installed an alpha in another directory to have a clean installation. The effect is the same. May it from the track list or from the now playing list as dtsig pointed out. The explorer window only opens in the background. Maybe it is an environment issue ....

I will try it with my win 10 tablet too and will give further notice.

You're right ... it happening only when used from NP list ... will look at it.

it opened behind all windows here .. windows 10 current and 2120
This happens when i rightclick on a track in now playing ... if i try it from the regular list (all tracks) it works as expected

hoping that it should not be a feature i hint to the function 'find more from same ... folder (explorer)'. The explorer window opens in the background. So i have to do more clicks to see the content for i have to minimize MM or set the focus on the explorer window by clicking on the icon in the windows start bar. For me MM4 does better :).
