I use 4.1.0.1623 and have the same problem.

I put in a new CD, after ripping I see 2 entries but I have only 1 File.
Sometimes the entry is a 8.3 name, sometime it is "*.mp3" and "*.MP3".

edit 2013-02-12:

Today I deleted the data base (archive) complete.
After the rebuild - no problems!
Also the ripping of new CD's is OK.

All are OK now. :D

Confirmed fixed in latest build 1623.

So mediamonkey is re writing the songs listing in the file lists with what he uses doing the file operations? And or writing his in the lists also and leaving them there creating a grayed out double listing of the songs in the listview.

I believe it shouldnt be hard for them to fix.

Yeah, I can confirm it has happened randomly while tagging too. I updated the tracker title to reflect it wasn't just auto-organize.

Hi,

Still occurs in beta 1617. Steps to reproduce:
* Select all the trakcs of one album
* Do a operation on all files (eg. volume leveling)
* "ghost library entries" will appear at random after/during that operation

Happens in 1616 too, while using Album Art Tagger.

I was able to reproduce this after auto-organizing some tracks:

If this issue is reproducible on 1614 you should create a debug log and send it to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341 However make sure the issue didn't occur on a previous version and the files affected are left over from that.

An update, forgot to post yesterday. I removed the "offending tracks" and the issue went away when I recanned/readded the tracks. Nothing else was changed, so I do not know what happened.

I have the same, when I change tags for multiple songs, sometimes new 8.3 names are 'added' to the library.
*) You have an album with 10 tracks
*) You select all tracks
*) Modify eg. the Album Artist
Then sometimes one or two new tracks are added to the album, with 8.3 filenames. Physically the files aren't there.

Oh ok

No error. Only the paths showed truncated in 8.3 format.

Some things missing like ? Maybe the error you get? Makes it hard to help without the issue in the post. :-?
