I also can't replicate your issue so you will at least verify that the registry path is writable (as should be) for MM.
I have tried this. But still no luck. It always defaults back to "Title ".

You can delete or temporarily rename the key HKCU/Software/MediaMonkey/Interface/V4/ , MediaMonkey will start in the default UI layout then.

That registry data is pretty opaque. I don't have a clue what I'd change there.

Sort orders of columns are stored in Windows registry.

Run regedit and go to HKCU/Software/MediaMonkey/Interface/V4/

Thank you.
It's not in the .ini, its in the database.

If you sort in the Collection I believe this sort is then also set for any Collections/Playlists that inherit from that Collection. I may be mistaken though. I've not noticed any sorting issues here.

I am looking at the "Collection Option", there is no way to set a column as default sort.

After further test, actually MM fail to remember any sort. It always defaults back to "Title ". I am using Artist Tree.

Nope it does not work for me. Everytime i restart MM, it always defaults to sort by "Track #". I can't able to make MM remember sort by "Disc #".
