And suddenly it's fixed.

Typical of my experience with Media Monkey. Works fine, something breaks for a while, and then it's magically fixed. Until the next time it starts doing it again. Never can tie down the details.

Nevermind. I'll just continue suffering in silence, until I'm done with my cleanup.

I just reopened MMW to check, and yes I do have more than one tab open.

One is set to the "Entire Library" and I have no idea if that changes, because I leave it so I can easily switch between collections.

The other is my custom collection, and always shows as the default. This time it came up with "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Haven't even touched that one in a while.

Interestingly, I just closed and reopened a few times, and it didn't do it. I ran a "Maintain Library" with complete Optimize database selected, and it didn't do it. It seems it only does this when I actually tag files while I have Media Monkey open.

I'm unable to replicate, are you sure that you do not have multiple tabs of trackview?

Reopening MMW does not always return to the same artist

I notice that when I close MMW, and then reopen it, It does not consistently return to the same album artist I had selected when I closed.

For example;
I have three columns in my column browser; "Genre," "Album Artist," and "Album."
"All" under Genres, "The Hollies," and "All Albums' were selected.
I closed MMW, clicking on "No" to not let the backup script run.
I re-opened MMW after rebooting my computer.
Now, "All" under Genres, "How to Destroy Angels," (The next item in the Album Artist list in this collection) and "All Albums" are selected.

Before I'm accused of hitting an arrowkey, I used the mouse, and never touched the keyboard. I have also had this happen where the selected "Album Artist" was in an entirely different end of the alphabet. (Left with "Bob Dylan" and came back with "Iron Maiden.")

I can't remember the last time I had it return in a different Collection.

Backup is run religiously, and full database optimization was run an hour ago.
