It looks like the "broken arm" was fixed with the newest beta, just pointing it out.

This thread has been idle for a while, so I thought I would add.

An update to my previous post:

Things changed:
Changed all fonts to Corbel (New with Vista)
Made "Your Music... Organized" smaller and centered
Changed copyright notice
Enlarged "V3"

Hope you like :D

[EDIT] The image quality on that is cr_p so you can hardly see anything (or is it just my monitor acting like RC's?) :P. I will have to contrast it up for you to see it properly, will do that later.

[EDIT2] It turns out my monitor does have the same problem as RC's did. So hopefully you can see it. BTW you the thing that you want to be able to see is the big "V3" on the right hand side.

I like that red steegy.. but that monkeys broken arm is really annoying me.. I hope the designer fixes it like I showed in the first post...

blake.. I like that idea.. it does need a quote!
I think, if you're gonna align it to the right, you should align the copyright notice to it's right edge too.

I think on the logo you need some sort of quote...
Something like "Your Music. Organized" which I saw in another thread a while ago.

I forgot something: ..., and even if it means red I would like to have ferarri (also they are so good in yellow).

by Steegy » Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:46 pm

I really do not like that red color
Yeah, maybe some dracula-teeth on it would make it fit better

:) I really do not like that red color but it still looks cute.

I was just playing with the MM logo a bit.

This could be handy for a Ferrari-style MM skin:

The square splash screen is definitively the best.
As you mentioned, the slim one is just not what the user expects. I like the idea of resembling a portable player, though it would have to be more refined so it's better recognizable by the 'ordinary' user.

I also think that the splash screen should have the same look and fell as the default skin which is not the case right now. It would be better to have that greyish background that glided has.

Also, the "Version 3" is too small. On a high resolution display it's barely noticeable.

So let's hope the current version of the splash screen is not the final one!

Thanks :D

sure.. I made a png for you...
you just need to put the folder in the zip in your MM directory..

however, it seems to not work with the transparency! :(

Hey, Dale

The square one you showed is really nice and I like I agree that the orig. was to wide.

is it possible for us to d/load this to put as our splashes?

heya Morten,

you're right.. my slim one does look pretty cramped in that sense..
what do you think of the square one above??

The second one can definitely do with some space around the text and logo elements... but The original one has way too much - to the point where the space becomes the focus.

I don't think keeping a horizontal format but making it a bit slimmer would work well because it would move further away from being dynamic like a widescreen and more towards the blandness of a 4x3 TV...
That's why my last one was even further (square -which I think works well)... it's unusual and bold in its shape.

I actually feel it quite opposite. The first has air, whereas the second don't have anything. No problem for me understanding which program is lightest driven.
