I know it's an old thread but it would be cool to have an animated splash like this:

(You mush have an APNG supporting browser to see the animation)

Does anyone have some good splash images to post?

this is in the skins ini files now so you don't need a header just the copy image and the delete image things for the two ini files.

but as it has been said this in the skins does remove the current splash screen.
and replaces it with the one in the skin.

the little image frame added to it by windows i don't even see.
i've gone and made several for my skins earlier but now i've got one for all my skins.

i just go to get them added and then uploaded which will be some time on this dialup dang usb modem messed up.

:(

No, there isn't. But all this installer does is take the MM2 image (Splash.png) and put it into the directory \Mediamonkey\Brand\, and it puts a listing under Tools -> Extensions. Nothing else is being changed, so I don't see any way to get around that border (ie: I am not the one adding it, so it must be something that MM adds to all custom splash screens.)

EDIT: I fixed the MM2 splash screen a bit, here are the links again.

There's no frame for the MM3 splash screen, or is there?

Damn, too bad... I'll have to think of a way to integrate the frame to the design of my splash screen. :(

Victor.

Sorry, but I think MM adds this. Theres no way that I know of to take it away.

When I try to create a splash screen with Paint.net, there's always a grey frame on it on MM startup. Is it normal. Can you get rid of it?

Thanks,
Victor.

If you use the installer above, the image will be at

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\brand\Splash.png

by rovingcowboy » Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:23 am

its in the exe file.

you want it you have to work for it.

start media monkey when the splash screen is on the screen press the pause break button that i think should stop monkey's loading process. the you have time to press the prtscn sysrq button to take a snapshot of the screen.

then you can press the enter button to restart monkey's process. now you got to go in to a photo editor and paste the screen shot on to a blank sheet. save it then cut out everything but the monkey's screen then resize the image to fill in the sheet and look right, then make sure it has enough pixels dpi. and then make it a little sharper image if needed and then save the shot again.

now you have the old splash screen. or ask some one that already has it. or ask one of the developers if they would send you a copy of it.?

You mean the copyright year? It has the old date, I didn't edit the image. You can preview the image (I linked to it above)
