If you are talking about skins then I would suggest looking at some of the topics toward the top of this forum/topic. Then review a couple existing skins on your system (probably 4 of them) and see how they work.
You might want to install a portable version to playwith then keep your std install of mmw *clean*
Try to ask specific questions in the correct forum/topic and you should get good answers.
