It's available now for download on the site. But it went like this here, downloaded installed removed and that in the time span of 5 minutes. Still don't like it.

While I prefer Media Monkey for tag editting over everything, the new Winamp is a lot of fun to use.

For any classic Winamp fans, I recommend checking it out the beta, as it really pays homage to the classic skin, while incorporating a lot of modern elements like the all in one interface, tabs, cover art, ratings, etc.

Even though AOL is responsible for much of Winamp's stagnation over the last few years, it's nice to know they're still making improvements like this.

nope am not doing any beta stuff for anyone but media monkey.

i don't like how winamp hides all the options it auto checks for their program to phone home so i stopped using that player.
i have it for back up and i have turned off all the call home markers they have in it. but its not used only once in awhile when i want to see my av effects i did for it.

Anyone checked it out? Looks promising in my opinion. MM is still the best organiser out there, no doubt, but as a player the new winamp beta is fun.
