Yes, the service for generating new PUIDs is currently down, see server status here... http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/GenPUID

I'm not sure if you will get a response. There is considerable concern that AmpliFind appears to be moribund, see for example http://forums.musicbrainz.org/viewtopic.php?id=2275

It is still working for tracks which have had fingerprints generated in the past, but as far as I know it has not generated any fingerprints for new tracks in well over a month (normally it should not take much more than a day)

I've sent a developer request to AmpliFindMusicServices.com (the MusicIP re-brand) so hopefully I will be able to create an "Auto DJ" style script in the future.

Not that I'm aware of, there is just the MusicIP Tagger: http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=30994

Has this been implemented? Is there any way to use MusicIP mixing with Media Monkey?

Shouldn't this fall to MusicIP to make a MediaMonkey-specific plugin rather than have the responsibility fall to MM?

There are no entries under playlists on the official wishlist. I would really like this to be added to the wishlist, and more importantly to mediamonkey.

MusicIP uses acoustic analysis of songs to be able to intelligently create playlists on the fly. It does a VERY nice job of creating playlists, better then any other tool I have tried. They have spent YEARS developing the acoustic analysis, and probably millions of dollars. I don't think MM could compete with this.

Curious as to why people are voting for or against.

I am referring to integration of the Mixing Engine. Though I would like to see a better more powerful tagger, I do not believe that musicip, alone, is the answer to tagging. MusicIP is a very nice tool for creating mixes. I would be willing to pay a higher registration fee for the integration. Maybe there could be one with, and one without, though the cost would be substantially less if all of the clients had the integration.

There is no reason why free integration can't be offered. The slimserver integration is free. There is a free and fully functional MusicIP client. I happen to have registered both products.

There is no threat to anyone who doesn't want to use MusicIP from having this functionality integrated. There is a great deal of benefit to those who like (1) the mixing and (2) the tagging abilities. The interesting question is would integration be (1) mixing and playlist generation or (2) include tag lookup or (3) include tag repair functions.

I love it when things come together. My favourite Music software is:

1. Mediamonkey
2. Slimserver
3. MusicIP
4. dbPoweramp

(don't read anything into the ordering).

There is a mip script similar to scrobbler dj, I haven't used it in awhile tho.

The winamp plugin is a Media Library plugin, and as such doesnt work with MM.

I'd love to see it better integrated with MM, either via script or with a more robust plugin that works with MM.

The MIP folks are pretty flexible, as far as licensing I'm sure it would be pretty reasonable if it couldnt be done for free.

Picard tagger uses MIP technology, although thats open source.

Also, there is 2 primary uses of MIP...

Making Mixes, and PUID identification for tagging purposes.

The poll didn't indicate which, I first assumed you meant mixing, but now I probly guess you meant for tagging.

Personally I would love to see both.

Have you tried their Winamp plugin?

Note that implementing this could rise license issues from which most likely users would suffer so I voted no.
