Directory Opus is just about the ultimate file manager and display all files - hidden or not.
I hate having problems that I don't understand let alone can't solve.
MM has been one of my favourite apps since about '95 when I started using it and registered it.

Uninstalled 2 & 3, using Dopus I did a global search on C: for any thing MM and .DB and deleted them.
Deleted all MediaMonkey directories
Used a ragistry editor search for MediaMonkey and deleted all relevant entries
Used 2 registry cleaners, rebooted and reinstalled MM302, declined the offer to use 2.5 database, did a brief setup and the problems persisted.
Did all of the above again and reinstalled MM302. When it asked again to use/convert 2.5 database I answered yes and the installer chewed away on something, presumably the 2.5 database that did not exist and the problems with MM3 are even worse.
Considering going back to 2.5 where I had no probs for over the year I used until MM3 came along.
I really dunno
Not sure what Dopus is, but, would it find hidden folders?
Windows defaults the AppData folder as hidden. :-?

When you un-installed old MM3 betas, did you delete the database? It is not auto-deleted on un-install. So, you may be running a new MM3 over an old corrupt Beta database.
Were you asked upon install if you would like to import MM2 data? If not you are probably using an old data base.

Edit:
Forgot to answer your question:
Believe that MM2 Database is located somewhere like:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Music\Mediamonkey -> Mediamonkey.DB

MM3 is @:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey ->MM.DB
Windows Vista: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Mediamonkey ->MM.DB

I am having substantial problems with Ver3 - the database is being corrupted similar to what was happening during MM3 beta runs. I have a feeling it could be to do with MM2.5 config & database files.
Therefore could someone tell me the names & where the MM2.5 .ini file and database are stored.
And yes I have tried all of the builds of MM3 up to the latest.
