A few months back, I migrated from Windows Media (please no shouts), and when I ripped many of my 'best of' CD's into the library, WM, placed the track artist in the 'Track Artist' field, but (dammit) put 'Various Artists' in the 'Album Artist' field for all of them (see
http://www.images.themonniers.com/untitled.jpg).
I know that I can manually edit and copy the Track Artist field (#1) into the Album Artist field (#2), and into the subdirectory field (#3) which will correct and place the tracks properly in the sub-folders for the Track Artist.
I have hundreds of selections like this, and I was hoping that there is a way to 'automate' that copy for each of those albums. I have tried a couple of things, but as yet not hit the right combination..... Hopefully there is a 'way' to do this......
I am 'wide open' for suggestions...... If you think this is a dumb idea - please say so.....
Thanks,
Henri
