Did anyone use the trial metadata stuff that comes with Beta 3?

EAC development has stifled over the last few years and is very slow in comparison to dBpoweramp.
But I suppose EAC is free.

Alternatively, how does one access the AR database? Is there an AR API? I'm a developer, so I'd be willing to take it on as a little project, if no post-check solution currently exists. :)
MM4 already has AccurateRip verification implemented.

Ha, ha, I used to study those sites too

Mikeyg, I think the principles they laid down are still true.
I still use EAC - I love the way it flicks out to dos and back, don't you :P
I still use LAME. And I use the latest - sometimes beta - versions.
Try it for yourself.

So, you all seem to be up to date on the whole burning process. I spent weeks and weeks educating myself on how to use EAC with LAME and Accuraterip and Mareo, etc., etc., and then I promptly did . . . nothing.

Now, nearly three years have passed, and I'm pretty sure that everything I researched is way out of date. I've checked my main resource sites from before (Chris Myden dot com, Radified Guide to Ripping, etc) and they all seem to have gone completely unupdated in all of this time. I don't want to start from scratch, and I'd rather find a resource that pretty much lays out the best steps, programs and options, but that has kept up with the changing software and features.

So, do you all know of any good, UP TO DATE, one-stop-shop resources for teaching me how to take my large CD collection and get it all burned flawlessly to FLAC with VBR MP3 copies?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

None. But if a disc isn't in the accuraterip database yet, EAC has better checks in place to ensure that your rip is perfect.
This is plain wrong.

-dBpoweramp is a AS GOOD as EAC in checking for errors. Even in secure mode it is also FASTER.

-dBpoweramp uses AccurateRip more efficiently by checking rips throughout the ripping process to see if the rip is accurate

It would be nice if MM would add AR support

Anyone know how to select multiple Album Art in the Album Art search window for embedding in the file?

As long as your CD is in Accurip dbPowerAmp is a bit easier and possibly a tad better and is easier to use. It does depend too heavily on Accurip. EAC is a great tool and for free. What is there not to like. It your CD isn't in Accurip EAC is the only way to go.

dypsis, thanks.
I too use dBpoweramp now although like you used to use EAC a lot.
Not tried EAC with Win 7 x64.
I'd be pleased to hear how you get on with this new version.
Always used to be the best program of its kind.

Even though I use dBpoweramp now, I still have EAC installed and may use it sometime. I found the previous version wasn't fully compatible with Windows 7, but maybe this update addresses the minor issues that I had with it.

So I upgraded to this version and found that my profiles wouldn't work with it, so I had to redo my profiles.
