That definitely wasn't clear from the initial report. With these steps I can reproduce. Added as: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8264

u guys got me wrong > detailed reproduction procedure

1. u r in library and wanna add some songs to queue, so left-click the first song
2. shift+click song 30
3. to deselect songs 10-20 ctrl+leftclick song 10 and
4. ctrl+shift+leftclick song 20 and realize that the songs 10-20 are NOT deselected.

the same procedure works FINE in mm3 ,and to select songs in mm4 too, windows explorer of course can 'handle' this de/selection.
its kinda helpful here and there....hard to believe none of u 3 know it

I agree - I have been using computers for a lot longer than I care to recollect and never heard of ctrl+shift. I agree with both of you - Lowlander and NoHitter - ctrl-click and shift-click are what select/deselect items in any Windows OS.

Here is a good site that provides a full listing of Windows shortcuts and ctrl-shift appears in the list but in combination with other keys and do not have anything to do with selecting files. I am wondering if the original poster has a typo...

Both Shift-Click and Control-Click work fine in my MM4 install.

Yeah I've never heard of Ctrl+Shift, I would just expect Ctrl+click and Shift+Click to do anything.

Ctrl and Shift both work as expected by themselves. Ctrl+Shift seems to do nothing in deselecting, but it doesn't do anything in Windows Explorer either on XP.

simple reproducable issue:

when u highlight 30 files and wanna deselct 10 of em using ctrl+shift they keep highlighted.
selecting files that way works.

cheers
