What I do with more than one edition of the same thing, where I like more than one and want them all in library, is put the one "I prefer or think is best" in the library
as part of the main music folder structure on my drive.
Then, I have the rest in a separate folder on my drive (called edition dups) which is scanned to the library also.
After this you can go to the main library nodes that would include the dups (Entire Library, Music) and add a negative filter rule such as,
path/filename does not contain, in addition to the default positive ones.
Then your set. You essentially get to have the best of both worlds because the only time you'll ever see the dups is if you go diggin for that
"specific folder" under the location node in above main library nodes.
Just an alternative possibility.
