No, if you select Artists or Albums in the Device Profile to be synced and do an Auto-Sync their will be Playlists for these if so enabled. That's the only time this will happen. It won't happen with any other selections to be synced.

Sync Playlists - Options Tab

I have MM on my PC, and I'm trying to sync to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. the basics are working just fine, and I'm now trying to fine tune the options so it works the way I want.

As I read this page, if I sync over a batch of files (not a playlist), then MM should create playlists on my tab for each artist, and for each album.

I'm using 4.1.11.1783 on my PC and 1.1.3.0554 on my tablet.

If I sync a playlist, then I see a playlist on the tablet, but if I just copy a batch of files over, then no playlists are created.

I believe MM keeps its playlists in m3u format, and I note that if I sync a playlist, then MM converts it to a PLA on the tablet. However if I change the playlist format on the Options tab, it makes no difference, no playlist is created on the tablet if I simply sync a group of files.

Any help welcome.

Thanks
