Does iTunes, the desktop version, not the Windows Store App recognize the devices?

I just updated to MM Gold on Surface Pro 3 running win10. I have a iphone SE and a iPad air2 with latest iOS 12 update. When I plug them in and start up MM they say iTunes must be installed. iTunes is installed but MM does not work. I'm a musician who really relies on iOS apps. I can't stand iTunes so please help.

I think that Ludek have iOS 12 device. There was double profile report, but that should be fixed if you delete one from profiles when device is unplugged.

NOTE: iTunes must not be started (Active) if you want to use MMW as it is reported several times that it locks device from MMW access.

It looks like I wouldn't be successful at that anyway since the download link to 1875 is broken!

I've seen others post issues using iOS12 and we are having problems also (won't sync, shows up as 2 devices). Is Ludek or some other developer actively working on iOS12 problems?

You can easily use 1875 on top of 1881, but I think it will not solve your sync problems as I see no important and risky fixes regarding apple devices.

I'm having problems sync'ing with version 1881 so I want to go back and test version 1875. What's the best way to do this? Can I:
1. Just install 1875 over 1881
2. Must uninstall 1881 completely
3. Install 1875 to another folder

It is possible that the reason why both MMW and iTunes do not see is that Apple Mobile Device driver do not serve/see actuall media transfered to phone using third party Application.

If I remember correctly some iTunes versions had option to rebuild Library on Phone, but I'm not sure that it also apply to iPhone XS Max

Looks like iTunes also doesn't see it. Maybe something non-standard (Apple can be very particular) was done. One issue might be that Apple doesn't use proper filenames, instead a hexadecimal code.

Syncing doesn't work with Xs Max

Same problem. Updates to ios 12.0 on an iphone 6s and a new model Xs Max. "firmware not compatible" Help.

I have MM 4.1.20.1864. Updated iPhone 5 to iOS 12 this week and now MM won't sync; I got an error message saying MM wasn't compatible. Did I miss a new MM version to cover this?
