Thank you for the quick answer.

There are no duplicate fields; I mislabeled the subject of my message.
Someone else from the MP3tag board suggested to check if I use autotagging in MM (MM4 on my PC) but I'm not sure where to search/modify this tool.

Hi,
If tracks contain Album info then as Album must have Album Artist it is Auto filled by MM on Tag edit and you can put VARIOUS ARTIST as value for compilation Albums (I personally prefer that) so that when you browse Albums in MM they are grouped correctly.

Additionally I do not understand what duplicates you refer to eg. you see Album Artist filed duplicated?

avoiding duplicate fields

Hi everyone,

Sometimes I notice some issues after new tracks are added to the MM collection or when the MM collection has been opened by other programs as VirtualDJ or Traktor (evaluation editon, in my case), i.e. the field "ALBUMARTIST" is filled with the content of the ARTIST field, even if I clear ALBUMARTIST (via MP3tag) before adding new tracks.
I wonder if there's an addon or a function to get rid of all these duplicates without checking back every single field.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Ian
