Just wanted to update...Lately I've been finding that a lot of CDs I rip aren't found in the default lookup DB. Today, I revisited this thread and downloaded the Discogs add on and it works great. It hasn't found the info automatically (thus far), but entering the album, band or song has found the information for CDs I would have had to enter manually.

BTW, although you said for albums 'already ripped', it works when I insert the CD, have DisCogs find the information and then rip it.

Thanks for the volume tip, too. I discovered that one out some time back...it seriously effected the sound quality. I use mp3 gain, which doesn't seem to cause those issues.

For lyrics-search I use GOOGLE, YouTube, https://www.songtexte.com/ and some others.

Step 1) Insert CD and click:
Rip CD - into an "always watched folder" - I use the folder "TMP_Downloads" for this
as a result, the ripped files are automatically in the collection - no additional reading

Lately I've noticed:

[list]When ripping CDs, MM is unable to find info for the cd

[list]Is no longer able to find lyrics for a given song[/list]


I checked Options/Library/Metadata Lookup and there is no current database or option to enter one, only two 'options':

[list]"When viewing lyrics" (with two checkboxes under) [/list]
[list] "When viewing artwork:" (with two checkboxes under).[/list]


I'd upload a screenshot but I see I'm only allowed to link to an image.

Any ideas on what might have happened and how to correct?
