Hi,
There is another way.

You use ... (three dots) normally in MM library you can change "." -> "․" by adding MediaMonkey.ini [FilenameMappings] this line:
2F=2024

To add on Lowlander DOT as first character in Linux I guess these will be best things to read if you are interested in reasons behind filename special characters and limitations:

Thank you, changing the period (...) to shrieks (!!!) works a treat!

Dots are removed as this causes files/folders to be hidden on Linux based systems. You can use other options like ___ or --- if you wish.

Try changing your beginning period to an exclamation mark ! as in ! PlaylistName

I use that with a space after it on a few things to do just what you are wanting to do. Seems to work just fine in MMW2024 and also in MM4.

MM2024.1 Playlist name changes when syncing

On Windows MM4 I named certain playlists with preceding periods to ensure they were top of my list of playlists on my audio device eg. iPod. For example

...The first playlist

Now I've moved to MM2024.1 I note that the periods are removed so the playlists are no longer in the right place on my device

...The first playlist

is renamed during synchronization to

The first playlist

Is there a way to fix this please?
