It worked for me, being paused on an MKV file.

I just did and sadly the problem remains.

Please update to the latest MediaMonkey 2024.2 release as it's working there for me.

I found out it won't let you capture thumbnail when video is paused, only when playing.
Which is kinda weird cause you want to choose an exact frame.

Installed the recent codecpack

It used to work fine on previous release.

Which build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using and what File Type(s) are affected?

Do you have the MediaMonkey Codec Pack (Tools > Addons) installed?

It used to work fine but now he just captures a black thumbnail. Any ideas?
