You didn't answer if Track Volume does or doesn't get calculated. It should for selected file(s) no matter what you do.

Right click Find More from Same > Album will show all files MediaMonkey sees as belonging to the same Album as the selected file.

Hi,
I just tested this on a 2000 FLAC files across 100 Albums and all were calculated normally for both Track and Album values.

... and I had MonkeyMedia set to analyse volume (inc album) when adding music, so it seems to have decided not to do so with FLAC. Mind you I have a huge collection of mixed MP3 and FLAC and some M4A with possibly album dupes (different pressings) but usually they would be named to differentiate them.

What do I select to take the action? The message box is active, with an 'exclude these files' button and no obvious 'continue' option? The only way of continuing is to close the message window (X) and nothing happened. Likewise selecting the 'Excldue' did not just level one file. The message didn't make sense as I had selected all the tracks in an album anyway - and it still found more to add in one case! Nothing happened even if I just selected one track.

The message box appears at the bottom of the screen - I can't see if there is a hidden 'continue' option lower down, and I can't repostion the message box.

Foobar is my friend, I've found. More intuitive for this task and allows me to identify those missed.

So, if you select exclude the selected file doesn't get Track Volume assigned? You need to ignore this message to get Album Volume analyzed.

FLAC volume analysis

Two issues. Something has changed, and most of my FLAC files have volume level tags, but those added recently do not. I found this by comparing an old FLAC file with a new one in Beyond Compare which shows that the old file has the tags and nothing in the new.

Additionally when I try to force a volume analysis it informs me that x other files will be analysed as Album volume is set, but the only option given is a buttom to Exclude These Files r close the dialogue box - both of which cause nothing to happen.

MP3s are working wonderfully...
