Thanks Peke!

I have configured routines (Samsung Settings->Modes and Routines), and they work well (Should have replied earlier, sorry). I have one sync when Sleep mode is engaged, and one sync when I connect to my home network. Don't know why I did not use that in the past, but it works well for me now.

I have AutoPlaylists that are based on play counts, so when I switch listening from my phone to my home or vice-versa, it helps to have the play counts synchronized frequently.

Have a good day!

Dan.

Thanks rusty.

I think I had tried that in the past, maybe my condition wasn't good. Will re-configure and give it another shot.

Sorry for the late response. But fyi MediaMonkey for Android already supports App Actions and one of the app actions is 'Synchronization'.

You'll need some sort of automation tool to use this (e.g. LlammaLabs 'Automate' or the Modes and Routines functionality that comes with all Samsung phones). The basic idea is the same for all devices, but I'll go through the steps on a samsung device:
1) Create a Routine (Options > Modes & Routines > Routines > Add, and name it 'weekly sync'
2) Set the routine to run weekly e.g. Sundays at 2am
3) Configure the Routine to run an App > App Action > MediaMonkey:Synchronization
4) By default, MMA WiFi Sync is configured to prompt for user confirmation regarding deletions. If your sync profile is set to delete some files each time, you'll have to disable 'Confirm (show confirmation dialog' at Options > Library & Sync > Sync settings [gear] . That way synchronization can proceed unattended (without prompting you whether you want certain files deleted).

Hope this helps!

Hello. Year and half later, no replies... I'm sad...

Any workarounds? Any way to trigger MMA sync on a regular basis? Right now, I just wanted to access a playlist on my tablet, but it had been a while since I used MMA on it, so I had over 4,000 files to analyze. Took a little while.

Any way to trigger an MMA sync on a regular basis, maybe via 3rd- party tools? So that my music on my phone/tablet is always in sync with my main server?

Or am I the only one who wants this?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Dan.

[REQ] trigger sync automatically on a schedule

Hello all,

Not sure if this is something I missed or a feature request.

I have my Android MM5 Sync working fine with my Windows MediaMonkey 5 server. However, I have to trigger the sync manually. Is there a way to trigger sync automatically (for example, every night at 3:00 AM)?

Thanks in advance!

Dan
