That would still not help to get the data in to J River. You will need to have some way in J River to get the information from MM's custom fields.

The script files need to go into \Scripts\Auto

can't get it to work for me. i installed the script itself into the \Scripts folder and downloaded the two helper scripts and put them in the same \Scripts folder. It says on the post that the Utility_controls.vbs scripts needs to be modified, but I don't know with what. I start MM and no script shows up in my scripts menu.

It sounds like this script will do the trick, but I know close to nothing about scripting so I'm sorta flying blind here.

Thanks,
n1ck

You can use Steegy's ExtractFields script to copy this information, I think. Try searching the "Scripts and Components" section.

do you know if there's a way to get these fields to a tag (maybe custom1 or something)? i'm trying to import this data from MM to j river media center (my new media app).

tks,

That's correct, you will need to play 1/3 of a song before counted and playing the same song various times in a row will only count as 1 play.

Also, as a side note, I don't think they're updated until you're 33% through the song, so that if you're just skipping through it won't think you've played them.

MediaMonkey updates these fields in it's database if you use MediaMonkey to play songs. These fields are not saved to the tags of the song.

Does MediaMonkey automatically update these fields whenever I play a file using the MM player, not winamp?
