Mediamonkey
dbpower amp r12 reference for ripping
picardQT for tagging

I never modify my files so I have no use for audio edit programs.

MM volume analysis is good enough, I dont need mp3gain.

I occasionally use foobar/m3tag for testing something or for some of their extended tag features.

mp3val and/or vbrfix if I find a problematic file that needs cleaned.

1. MediaMonkey for:
- library functions (tagging and organising);
- listening to music at home; and
- MP3-CD creation.
2. Traktor for all "DJ" work / parties.
3. Sound Forge & Acid for audio editing.
4. CD Architect for audio CD recording.
5. EAC for CD extraction and initial compression (FLAC).

My ultimate music software:

MediaMonkey (of course)
Audacity for audio editing
MP3Gain for volume leveling
FL Studio for composing (not really for a music collection, I suppose)

And, of course, I wrap them all together with Steegy's External Tools.

Wow, that's a lot of links...

Other Audio Software

I am always interested in finding different applications to enhance my music collection. I am interested in what everyone else uses with their audio collection. I'll start, though it's a very small list.

-Mediamonkey
-OrangeCD Catalog
-Adobe Audition (editing audio quality)

Anyone else wanna chime in???
