I fixed all issues with a lot of testing. I figured that MM does not like commas ( , ). Everything separated by commas e.g. genre name "Rock, Pop" is treated during sync as two different genres. MMA makes genre Rock AND genre Pop out of this and thus treats it as two independent genres.

Ticking the settings box 'only use first genre, when multiple genres exist' does not make a difference.
So instead of commas I use now this symbol ( | ) or I could have also used anything else e.g. ( / ).

That was the main issue.

Check the Music > Files to Edit > Unsynchronized Tags node in MMW and see if the problem files show there. If they do use Tools > Advanced Tag Management > Synchronize Tags to fix selected files.

Did you sync directly to the device or did you take the card out and sync directly to the card? Also which version of MMA and MMW?

I have formatted the SD card, reinstalled MMA on phone, refreshed library in MMW. Run a fresh USB sync from MMW to MMA.

Issue after sync:
Every MMW genre with a name separated by commas ( , ) is split up in individual genres.
Example: Music files with the MMW genre label [b][color=#BF0000]06 Latin, Reggae, Welt[/color][/b] are after syn in MMA shown as three individual genres [b][color=#BF0000]06 Latin [/color][/b]and [b][color=#BF0000]Reggae [/color][/b]and [b][color=#BF0000]Welt[/color][/b].

I could easily find a work around for this issue. For example not using commas and changing the genre names in MMW. However, is there another way in the settings?

In MMW everything is perfect. I am very thorough and manually assigned all the correct genres. E.g. in MMW many albums are assigned to genre Hip-Hop. I then USB sync from MMW to MMA (Samsung phone SD card).
However, in MMA on my phone (and I also see this in MMW in the SD card node) only a few albums have the correct genre tag (Hip-Hop). Other albums that just get a random genre tag (e.g. Jazz).

I formatted SD card many times. Uninstalled MMA, manually deleted all MMA folderes from phone. Still the same. I wonder if there is a certain box I need to tick in the MMW sync settings.

Current version of MMW on Windows 10 PC.
Current MMA app on Samsung Galaxy S8 phone with external Samsung SD card.

I synced my music library from MMW to MMA.
Half of the music was synced correctly with correct genre assigned.
For the rest of my music MMA assigned random genre tags. It even assigned some genre tags I had never used in my life (e.g. Jazz) to tag my music with.

I already completely formatted the SD card. Re-scanned my MMW music library, checked all the settings, re-synced from MMW to MMA multiple times. No success. On MMA my music is assigned these random genre tags.

What can I do?
