Mediamonkey does not start because of SQL error

by Remy.Beentjes » Fri Dec 14, 2018 10:40 am

I installed MediaMonkey version _4.1.23.1881

When I start MediaMonkey on my laptop (with Windows 7 Premium Home Edition) I get a notification on my screen which says 'There was a problem with searching the database : Error executing SQL statement "INSERT INTO Genres (IDGenre, GenreName) VALUES (126, 'Goa')": constraint failed (19,19).

I uninstalled Mediamonkey, using the uninstall program in the configuration screen. Later I installed Mediamonkey again. Still have the same problem.

I bought MediaMonkey Gold today so it is a pity that it does not work. Before I bought the gold edition, I used to use a free version.

I read in several forums that I have to delete the MM.db database. I cannot find that item on my hard disc. Please help, because until yesterday I was satisfied with MediaMonkey.

Thank you in advance.

Remy
