Hi andyroo,

Yes that link has been posted here before. The info there is, to say the least, is a bit out of date...

In the next version major of MM (2.6?) the developers has promised a rather major upgrade of the player which probably will contain a stay-on-top-player. The search function will also be improved.

I have noticed any slower search speed in the recent version 2.5.3.968 compared to older versions. Try to compact the database (File->Maintain Library), it can do wonders sometimes.

This article is a pretty good comparison of winamp, MM, and itunes. good overview of areas where MM could improve.

http://www.skytopia.com/project/article ... ayers.html

I think it was a little weak talking about the reg exp file renaming, moving, tagging powers of MM, as well as the fact that many winamp plugins work on MM, and MM reads just about any format (article gave WinAmp the "read any format award"). But overall it's a good article.

btw, I bought the MM 4 life option, but I find myself missing the itunes stay-on-top player. also the latest MM upgrade has slowed searching somewhat, and I do think the MM search bar should be more like a filter bar (like what firefox does in the about:config window)

anyway, love your product.
