It seems a new variable was added to MM5 to auto playlist configuration. This new selection doesn't exist in MM4 and it's not providing the same list of songs in MM5. This is a problem.
Specifically, in MM5, you can select to "Limit to ##:" and the type you want to limit (files in my case). That is identical to MM4. However, MM5 also prompts you to choose HOW you want them selected. This dropdown has a lot of choices, but none of those options are providing the choice that gives me the desired outcome.
As was constructed in MM4, I want all of my unrated tracks for a specific genre grouped by album, disc # and track #. In MM4, this auto playlist provided all of the tracks unrated in an album before providing the next set of tracks to the next album (alphabetically, since that is my sort).
In MM5, since i had to choose a "selected by" option, I chose "Played (least recent)". That seems to be interfering with the list of tracks included in the playlist.
The example in the dropbox file, shows that when I select 100 files in the playlist, the first set of tracks belong to Unplugged album. When I modify the auto playlist to pull 200 files, the first set of tracks belong to "The Ultimate Experience", then the album "Unplugged". Regardless of the number of files I select, I should always get the unrated tracks from the first album alphabetically.
Instead of forcing us to choose how we want to select files with that dropdown, make it optional. I actually want my files selected BY album in alphabetical order.
Screen shots of the differences between MM4 and MM5, as well as the example are linked below.

And just to update: None of the songs in this playlist have ever been played, so it seems to arbitrarily choose which tracks to pull into the playlist since Played (least recent) isn't applicable.
