Re: Volume Leveling
Thanks for the detailed clarification, Peke. I concur that the over-compression of music releases is a problem for discerning listeners. I'm glad that MM's volume leveling does not meddle with compression. BTW, my volume leveling seems to be working nicely, when I stream to my Grace Digital Link 410...

Re: Volume Leveling
So, I'm experiencing similar problems with volume leveling not behaving as I would expect, but I am confused about the most recent reply about compression. Why would you compress the signal in a track? Let's say you analyze a track, with broad dynamic range, that is very quiet at some points but ver...

MM5 Windows Skips Forward
Greetings, In trying to debug a "chirp" that occurs in any MP3 (not WMAs) cast from MM for Android to my Grace Digital Primo device, Pavle asked me to try casting and MP3 to the same device from MM5 for Windows. In testing this, I discovered that, while the "chirping" does not oc...

Re: MP3 Files "Chirp" During Playback, Only When Casting Over Wifi
Sounds like it's a device-specific problem. My Grace Digital Primo is older and is no longer manufactured by the company. Odd, though that MP3s seem to work just fine casting from MM5 for windows, but not when cast from Android. There must be some difference between the bit streams sent by the two s...

Re: MP3 Files "Chirp" During Playback, Only When Casting Over Wifi
Hi Pavle, OK, I've installed MM5 for Windows. I can cast MP3s to the Grace Digital Primo, without the "chirping". The recordings sound fine. I note that the Windows version of MM5 plays only a few seconds of each MP3 I cast before skipping to the next. Could this be because I have not purc...

Hi Pavle,
I see now that I misunderstood your instructions for casting from Windows. I'll install MM5 Windows shortly and let you know what I find.
Regards,
Jambo

Re: MP3 Files "Chirp" During Playback, Only When Casting Over Wifi
Hi Peke, I am able to play MP3s from MM Windows without any trouble. Note: I don't own MM Gold for Windows, so, as I understand it, I cannot cast to the Grace Digital Primo. However, using the Primo's interface, I am able to retrieve MP3 recordings from the Windows server, and they don't "chirp...

MP3 Files "Chirp" During Playback, Only When Casting Over Wifi
MP3 files "chirp", constantly, during playback, only when casting over Wifi to my Grace Digital Primo device. This does not occur when streaming MP3s via Bluetooth. It also does not occur streaming over Wifi for WMA files. Only occurs for Wifi casting of MP3 files to the Grace Digital Primo.

Re: Capture streaming audio
Sorry for the delay in my reply. I mean that I have several Apps on my phone (Jazz Radio, for instance) that do not include a Upnp server, and cannot cast to wifi devices. I have some outdoor speakers that are physically connected to an indoor amp. Bluetooth being what it is, reception from my phone...

Playback stops after each song while casting
Log ID: DTY8YSILRX Description: MM casting from my Samsung Galaxy S8 will only play one track at a time from an album. When one song ends, MM returns to a paused state. Skipping forward to the next song will allow me to play it, but playback always stops at the end of each song. I am casting to Grac...

Re: Better Shuffle Formula
It seems to me that an optimal shuffle algorithm would actually be far from random. I'd build two lists: 1) already played songs and 2) songs not yet played. The algorithm would randomly select from List 2 the next song to play. Then, once played, the song would be removed from List 2 and placed on ...

Re: Capture streaming audio
I'd like to see this feature, too. Several of my streaming services only stream to Bluetooth (or an audio jack), which has limited range, as compared to WiFi. I'd love a feature that would allow the redirection of streaming audio to a network, dlna device.
