Installed to another dir on the same drive and all working ok know, thanks very much for your help.

I have created a new portable install in a new directory, the program loads but is totally unresponsive. No menus or buttons work

Is there an easy set of instructions that would show me how to do a portable install without wrecking the existing install please.

Is it possible to have a portable install on the same machine as a normal install. and if it is can the settings be moved over from the normal install to the portable.
Just a way of getting the problem fixed without too much hassle????

Whilst messing noticed the following. If I close the program at the beginning I get the process running dialog due you wish to terminate, this is greyed out and will not respond. But if I do the same, start the program minimise it to the taskbar then right click on it to close and the dialog opens ...

If I try the RC can I go back to the previous version without consequence????

If I rename persisent.json it fixes the problem, but then I have lost all my settings?? is there anyway not to lose the settings??
Putting it back and it resumes as before.

I can't even do a backup as the menu file/manage database/backup button gives the same result this empty dialog box. Even if I click within the box nothing happens.

No anywhere you would expect a response back from the media monkey program. For instance file, Manage database, the initial dialog pops up ok asking to rebuild optimize etc, after you hit OK and you would expect a response back at the end I just get this blank box with no text in it. Basically ...

I can reproduce very easily, just by clicking Help, check for updates. The responce box comes up and for a few milli seconds you can see what should be in the box then all goes blank inside that box.

Yes sorry I just assumed windows build 2024.1.0.3113. The about dialog works ok, but most of the system messages fail. I am using Metro M Classic Kn skin. But since you asked I have tried changing skins and problem is still the same. This has all been working for a long time with no changes by me ...

This has just started happening, I am on the latest build and all of a sudden any dialog that appears on the screen is greyed out and there is not text or dialog.
