Re: burning

After updating to Windows 7 I have no Disc Burning Wizard......computer just freezes when I send to burn. I'm running MM 3.2.0.1294 debug (which doesn't seem to be doing any bug reporting). I can burn with other programs (and they work fine), but I don't want to. Media Monkey's always been my one-st...

Re: How do you capitalize your song titles?

9 times out of 10 "on" is only capitalized if it is the first or last word of a title because it's usually used as a preposition, vs. an adverb. Prepositions usually introduce phrases like "on the desk" "on the horizon". Adverbs tell how, when or where. In the case of &...

Re: Can You Burn & Use MediaMonkey W/Vista?

I've used Vista and MM for about a year and a half without a hitch..........however...........using a 64 bit Vista is another issue. I got the 64 bit to handle 9 gig of RAM and have since been locked out of ripping and burning with Media Monkey. The only suggested solution to overcome the problem (t...

Re: How do you capitalize your song titles?

Oh Geez. When I wrote the above I had forgotten the name of the song and couldn't visually see it as I typed. I was wrong.....the correct choice is there. It Goes On and On. The first "on" is an adverb in this title instead of it's usual use as a preposition. Sorry 'bout that.

Re: How do you capitalize your song titles?

I was an English teacher in a former life, and there actually is a set format for the captialization of all titles. The first and last words are ALWAYS captialized.....as well as all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, and subordinate conjunctions such as "although" "because" a...

I was merely pointing out that the program RED really does work with Vista....and I was very aware that the program had been mentioned by Callmetom before. Not all programs that are supposed to work with Vista actually do (especially free programs) and the person who recommended it was running XP. M...

Finding Empty Folders

I have been using "RED version 2.1.0.0" (free program...just google) and I'm tickled to death with it. I'm using it with Vista Ultimate in compatibility mode as administrator with no problems and 100% success. It will batch process and find empty folders and/or nearly empty folders contain...

I spent over ten years accumulating mine, Cowboy. For 3 of that 10 years I searched for a player that would handle all the data. Tried, WMP, Real Player, Music Match, Jukebox, Roxio, etc, etc. NOT! Then I found Media Monkey about 2 years ago. Felt like I died and went to heaven. Now I'm marrie...

Thank BOTH of you for your replies. Worked like a charm. Should I do that with every script I download from here or do they all work differently? And please make recommendations if I should be using something different than I.E. and winzip. (Actually I don't use winzip, I use IZArc). My use of Media...

Thanks for your reply. :-) I guess I'm dumber than a box of rocks...but the installation on this end isn't as easy as you suggest. I am running MM 3.x on Vista Ultimate. Find and Replace is received on this end as a zip file which has to be extracted. I extract it to a "temporary downloads"...

Are you sure you're providing the right link for this latest script? (specifically find and replace VBR as above). I have downloaded it twice and copied and pasted it twice into auto but the presets remain at 35. In other words, it's not updating.

Thanks.

I have found that the numbering sequence will be faulty if the track is not parallel in structure.............i.e., bitrate is different when using cbr, one track is not normalized and the others are, and any other of a multitude of reasons that a track can be different from the others on that album...

A little over 390,000 (1.75 TB) of mp3's @128-320 across 5 drives. You can imagine how long it takes to run the editing functions. It would sure be nice to have a choice to run editing tools such as unsynchronized tags on specific drives or folders. The new version of MM crashes if you interrupt it ...
