Re: Any Long time MediaMonkey Users?

I'm a paid user since 2005 - wowee, that's 18 years already ;) I use version 4 to organize and constantly prune my music library: Tagging, automated playlists, and playlist management. Over the years I've tried version 5 a few times, but I keep on coming back for 4. It's relatively stable (although ...

Re: MM4 still supported?

Here's my 2 cents. I have a collection of around 55000 tracks. In general, I use MediaMonkey to extensively tag and organize music - less so for actual playing. Therefor, for me the organization part is way more important than the player part. MediaMonkey 5 seems to be focused on the player part, an...

Re: Feature request: Show/edit more ID3v2 fields [#17467]

Hi Peke,

Thanks for creating an item for it: Yes, that's what I meant, that MediaMonkey supports more _standard_ official ID3v2 tags.
Looking forward to seeing it back in a beta ;)

Best,

Re: Feature request: Show/edit more ID3v2 fields

Hi @peke, Thanks for your reply. However, I can't see the TPE4 (MIXARTIST) field in MM5. Screenshot 1: The ID3 contains the TPE4 field, as can be seen using Mp3tag https://i.ibb.co/89VdyQM/mp3tag.png Screenshot 2: MM5 does not show the TPE4 field (populated). https://i.ibb.co/Jc4Ywbz/props.png

Feature request: Show/edit more ID3v2 fields [#17467]

Hi, I was wondering whether it would be possible for MM5 to show (and preferably also edit) (even) more standard ID3v2 fields. For instance the field MIXARTIST (TPE4 in the ID3v2.3 standard, often used to denote remixers). It would be great if it was configurable, which ID3v2 fields to show (and all...

Re: Album art not showing for tracks without album information

Thanks for looking into it.

Mediamonkey for Windows does always show album art, even though the track has no album or album artist titles filled in. It would be great to have the same experience for Android: Always showing the album art that's embedded into the mp3 file.

Re: Album art not showing for tracks without album information

Hi,

For testing purposes, I deleted all files on the Android device. When synching a file with album art but without album and album artist filled in, no art is shown. When synching the same file with the album and artitst fields filled in, art is shown.

Album art not showing for tracks without album information

Hi, I'm using MediaMonkey for Android build 854 (released 18-04-2019) on Android 9. It synchs with MediaMonkey 4.1.24.1883. Synchronizing using a cable or WiFi goes well. All of my mp3s have album art which shows perfectly on MediaMonkey on Windows. Some mp3tracks aren't part of an album so have emp...

[1494] not fixed, but [10839] is ?

Weird, I see that almost-the-same issue 10839 was categorized as 'URGENT' and has been fixed in build 1637. This issue which is much more general not yet. See http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=10839 MM devs, could you please incorporate this URGENT :) bug as well ? I use the multi-select...

Re: [1494] Selecting multiple albums through CTRL is broken

Hi Rusty, 4.0.6 is to be released imminently, so it'll be included in 4.1 to avoid new regressions. Note, though, that 4.1 builds will start being posted within a few weeks. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but build 4.1.0.1625 still is affected. This is the latest 4.1 Beta, right ? Thanks, cha...

btw I liked the quote about the effort it takes to be cruel vs. being kind - I'd like to add to that thought that the ripple effect one can have by just making someone smile (and vice versa) can be mind-blowing. I picked up an elderly woman hitch-hiking, had to help her into my ride and convinced m...

Re: 1613 truncating folders & files names [#10280]

Hi,

Still occurs in beta 1617. Steps to reproduce:
* Select all the trakcs of one album
* Do a operation on all files (eg. volume leveling)
* "ghost library entries" will appear at random after/during that operation

Re: 1613 truncating folders & files names

I have the same, when I change tags for multiple songs, sometimes new 8.3 names are 'added' to the library. *) You have an album with 10 tracks *) You select all tracks *) Modify eg. the Album Artist Then sometimes one or two new tracks are added to the album, with 8.3 filenames. Physically the file...

Re: MMA excessive power consumption

Hi Jiri,

I use MMA on a Galaxy Nexus, and on a Nexus 7, both running 4.2.1.
The power consumption shows up on the Galaxy Nexus. I do switch daily multiple times between WiFi, 3G, GPRS, etcetera.. lots of online/offline changes, I don't know if that can cause the issue ?
