Yes it does. Using ReplayGain.

Re: Media sharing queries (MM as client)

1) I don't think volume leveling tags are passed along as DLNA only supports few fields. 2) What's the server and what version of MediaMonkey are you running. In very limited uses of MediaMonkey as client I haven't noticed this (it is also the server on another PC in those scenarios). Thats a shame...

Media sharing queries (MM as client)

Hello all ... I have all of my music files on a home server and use MM as a client. I find that Volume levelling does not work. All the files were previously analyzed and do contain the volume data. Is this correct? Also I am finding that quite a few tracks will only play for around 20 seconds befor...

Re: Network DB extremely slow

OK .... from my personal point of view. I use MM as a Jukebox only. I have a library of ~16000 tracks of music and radio shows (early BBC comedy if your interested). I also use it to listen to a couple of net radio stations. I do like the Tag from Web function. Any files that I add are tagged when a...

Re: Network DB extremely slow

Thanks for the comments Jiri. From this users perspective, MM4 is a real retrograde step from MM3. It may be faster as you say but as MM3 ran smooth as silk without any lags as far as I could notice on my system I fail to see where any improvements actually are. Please note - as a user. Even if MM4 ...

Re: Network DB extremely slow

Just like to add that I too suffer this same problem and have done since I updated the v4 shortly after its release. Never did solve it despite using debug MM etc . I put up with it which saddens me as the problem seems to be just ignored by the MM developers of whom I have the highest regard. Would...

Re: Open MM... 17-29 seconds of "Readng Files..."

I have had the same problem that was never really solved. My library and database is on a NAS unit and takes an eternity (longer than yours) to actually start. MM3 was a virtual instant startup whereas MM4 starts on plate tectonic times. I have three machines all accessing the music so a completely ...

Re: MM4 - very laggy. (Help please)

Hi, it really is a network traffic issue as MM is fresh when the DB is on a local HDD. Are you sure this started after MM3->MM4 upgrade? Two instances of MM installed. Fresh Windows XP Home install. Both MM installs are fresh also of course. 15798 tracks Location - NAS/Music/in/these/folders MM3 - ...

Re: MM4 - very laggy. (Help please)

File Monitoring: File > Add/Rescan Tracks and in the File Monitoring area remove the folders to be monitored by deselecting both monitoring options. Hmmmm .... Having just unchecked every folder may I ask whether a shared folder on a NAS device - for example FOLDER1 (NAS/FOLDER1/) is treated differ...

Re: MM4 - very laggy. (Help please)

Panader, I'd like to understand why you experience the slowdowns. MM4 is actually in many operations significantly faster that MM3, so your results are pretty different from what we measure here. Although it should be done automatically after upgrade, you could try to Optimize your library. If noth...

Re: MM4 - very laggy. (Help please)

Any change to the .ini file could not possibly generate the error you mentioned. It seems to me that you might have gotten your MM.DB files confused at some point. Not a chance. My music file and MM.DB are both on a NAS device (different locations on the unit though). These files are backed up to a...

Re: MM4 - very laggy. (Help please)

The error: "Cannot load query data. Could not find field: Songs.TrackType, PT:0" sounds to me like you are using MM4 with a MM3 database. TrackType is a new file property as of MM4. Well as I stated earlier I reinstalled MM3 and replaced the MM4 database with a previously backed up MM3 on...
