Re: DLNA Experience
UPnP playback problems within MM4 (very happy to be testing :)) I have a Win 7 64 PC running Asset UPnP, a server, and MM4. Not too familiar with MM so please bear with me... In MM4 the library navigation works ok, within the UPnP Servers branch I can navigate the tree view fine. If I click on an al...

Re: MM 4 Alpha Testing
Hi Botijo, I did get them wrong, but there's definitely three! Media Server, Media Renderer, and Control Point. I use them every day! The UPnP Architecture overview is pretty concise: http://upnp.org/specs/av/UPnP-av-AVArchitecture-v1-20020625.pdf Not meaning to be petty, sorry if it sounds like tha...

Re: MM 4 Alpha Testing
Aha! Thanks nohitter. I have a Linn DS player, so I already have UPnP AV server software running on my PC, and UPnP control point software which runs on my laptop. The Linn player is the UPnP AV renderer. I want to use MM as a UPnP AV control point running on the laptop, because MM's UI is so good. ...

Re: MM 4 Alpha Testing
Is there any word on UPnP AV support in MM4? It's been mooted, but I don't see it anywhere in those issues lists

Re: DLNA
I think MM would function as a fantastic UPnP controller. There are already excellent UPnP servers out there, so while there's no reason MM shouldn't implement it's own, it's as a control point where MM would excel imho. In particular, from the brief time I've spent with it, library navigation and a...

Re: Auto-DJ - adding tracks from current filter doesn't work
Cool - understood - I'll raise it though as I have something in mind (could be very handy if/when MM gets UPnP control point functionality, for a number of reasons).
Thanks again both.

Re: Auto-DJ - adding tracks from current filter doesn't work
Sorry for the confusion - here's where I went wrong: When the track list is restricted by criteria set in the library tree and/or the track browser, I have come to think of that as 'filtering' the track list. I haven't had much need to use the separate Filter functionality (under File -> Manage filt...

Re: Auto-DJ - adding tracks from current filter doesn't work
No! I'm new to MM so could well be missing something obvious. But as double-clicking a track in the track list replaces the Now Playing playlist with the entire contents of the track list, I assumed that the filter was always in effect, though it had crossed my mind that it may not be. Do I need to ...

Re: Auto-DJ - adding tracks from current filter doesn't work
Once more with feeling: I've raised a ticket on the helpdesk and attached a debug log. Scenario for the log file: 4 tracks in the Now Playing list. Auto-DJ set to maintain at least 2 upcoming tracks and retain 1 previous track. I started the playlist playing, while the main track list was unfiltered...

Re: Gettin GOLD for free
I read a little about them - first (or at least very early) commercial DRM-free download site, which they stuck with despite being black-balled by the majors as a result. Fair play to them for that, but it's been two days now, and they have sent me another email - asking me to join up to their free ...

Auto-DJ - adding tracks from current filter doesn't work
Auto-DJ works fine, maintaining the correct number of upcoming tracks, as does the Now Playing track retention option. But "Add tracks from:" doesn't work as expected when Current Filter is selected. It seems to add tracks from anywhere in the library, just as if I'd selected Entire Librar...

New Play option: Play Random
Not familiar with this forum so apologies if this is a duplicate. Just to save a few clicks, and to make it unnecessary to have to open up Now Playing: A new right click option on the track list, to accompany Play Now, Next and Last, would be Play Random. This would do much the same as Play Now, the...
