Minor: "Play Now" behaviour inconsistent
According to the context menu when right-clicking on an individual track, "Play Now" is equivalent to Alt+Enter. However, selecting "Play Now" in the context menu always puts the entire album into the Now Playing list. Alt+Enter, as well as Enter and double-clicking put just the ...

Aha! That was the information I needed. Thanks very much, Lowlander!

"Type" Property Query
Quick (I suspect) question. I've just starting using MM to manage my audio books (as well as my music). When adding new files to MM, how does MM assign the "Type" property (Music, Classical Music, Audiobook, etc.)? It seems to get most classical music typed correctly, though I don't know h...

Re: HDCD Decoding/Ripping support
Any sign of HDCD support yet? All I keep seeing in the new builds is "Added support for new iDevice". Surely, providing the best possible audio reproduction is MediaMonkey's core business. Support for closed-system Apple devices is a nice-to-have for a subset of all users. It should not ta...

Re: 4.0.6: Failure to Rip (Works with 4.0.3)
RyboFlavin: See the link in Lowlander's post, right before yours. (I'd do a debug log myself, but I just don't have time right now. Going through a hectic period!) At least it's not just me seeing these things, anyway. I have to say, if you're going to be doing a bunch of ripping, I'd suggest instal...

4.0.6: Failure to Rip (Works with 4.0.3)
Sorry, I didn't get the exact strings, because I was more interested in getting my stuff done. But I guess the developers will know what I'm talking about. Tried to rip my first CD since upgrading to 4.0.6: The Smashing Pumpkins: Oceania. During the last track, a dialog popped up saying (something c...

Re: 4.0.5 CD Rip => Crash & PC Reboot!
To confirm, I also had "Secure read" checked. My solution was to revert to 4.0.3.

Re: Album volume with single-track albums
It definitely can be calculated, because MM has done it for at least one of my single-track albums. (Yes, it has exactly the same value as the one track.)

Re: Album volume with single-track albums
No, that's definitely not the case. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Yeah. I meant I don't fancy the idea of intentionally crashing my PC.

Album volume with single-track albums
This is a mild annoyance, but I have a few single-track albums. All tracks have been volume analysed, and I've always had the "analyse album volume" option enabled. However, some of those tracks have been assigned an album volume, while others have not. To my mind, the fact that the album ...

4.0.5 CD Rip => Crash & PC Reboot!
Hello, Apologies if this has already been reported. I did a search, but didn't spot anything. It's such a major thing that I'd expect anyone to notice it straight away -- unless it's just me! Quite recently, I ripped my entire CD collection using MM 4.0.3.1476. I didn't have a single problem (as lon...

Re: HDCD Decoding/Ripping support
Just wanted to add my support for this feature. It's probably about the only major omission, from my point of view. For me personally, I'd prefer to have my (FLAC) files stored as they appear on the CD, then have MM apply the HDCD processing on-the-fly during playback. (But I suspect it would make s...

Re: All rips failing AccurateRip (regression wrt. MM3) [#919
Thanks for the confirmation! :) I'm not sure I'd consider it a minor bug, though. For me, it should be critical, or at least major (as there's a workaround: don't use the verify option): the generated WAV/FLAC files (and possibly other formats) are basically corrupted. And this is a worst-case scena...
