New iPod Nano 7th Gen not accepting music from MM Library

When I transfer music from my library in MM it shows as transferred. I can view that music under the device within MM. As soon as I disconnect my new Nano and hit music it shows no music files present. Then if I plug it back in they still show as on the device. If i transfer the same files from my i...

Re: mediamonkey trashed my music library of over 4 tb of mus

I had something similar when i went to MM3 to MM4. The way they re-work the library really hosed everything up. Luckily I have a duplicate of my files on a 3TB external. So I didnt worry, just wiped that library and started over and re-tweaked my auto-organize settings. I cant quite tell what you di...

Re: MM Library not reading files

Yeah I did the BIOS on Sunday. All is nice and snappy now. Had to be something with the Sata controllers and possibly a energy setting where it puts them to sleep but can wake the SSD back up all the way properly. So a BIOS update and Intel update for the essentials and all is nice and smooth now. H...

I updated the Motherboard drivers. Havent had a problem since. I think it came back to the Sata Controller Drivers. I only updated 2 things in my system, however they were big. New motherboard and cpu. I installed a 4790k and Gigiabyte Z97X UD5H Black Edition board. All my drives were the same as be...

MM Library not reading files

I recently upgraded my PC to a 4790k from an AMD platform. I never had a problem until the switch over. After my reload all my music was re-added to my library when I re-installed Media Moneky. Everything showed up. Then i started noticing if I was logged in for a while the files would now say readi...

Its been years since I have purchased a CD, and I dont really purchase music in general at this point. Not with all the free methods available. Re: Library Auto Organize Issues

When upgrading MM3 to MM4 you should keep the DB (it will be upgraded) and all tags will be present. If you start with a new DB then often the problem is that tags weren't saved to the files in MM3 and thus MM4 can't read them in. (Files to Edit > Unsynchronized Tags will show you all these files i...

Re: Library Scrub

I found this tool. It did a fantastic job cleaning up the mess MM created between V3 and V4 databases.

Can MM scrub the music db of empty folders without Auto-Organizing them, just scan and delete the empties? No renaming or moving of anything not empty?

Re: Library Auto Organize Issues

Its pretty simple. When I first MM3 Gold Lifetime it organized all my files. I upgraded to MM4, then reverted because it totally hosed up the music db that the vary same program created to start. So i finally up'd to MM4 because they were kind enough to make MM3 not functional with online tagging an...

Library Auto Organize Issues

Why is this thing still at this stage over version 4 development still taking all my music and marking it unknown when i was previously tagged in MM3 with no issue. I had to re-install my machine and was noticing it doing this. Luckily i keep a duplicate of my Music on a external drive so i can undo...

Simply the Best there is!

MM has been my media play/management program of choice for over 4 years now. I recommend to all my family and friends. Kind of like a drug pusher... YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS! And as I sit here wrapping Christmas presents and rock out via my Monkey I want to say thank you to the staff whom made the progr...
