Re: Adjust position of now playing list [#18019]
After using version 5 for a while now I'm sorry to say that I've decided to go back to version 3. I had assumed that a later version would have everything version 3 did plus more. It seems, however, that there are quite a few little things I'd gotten used to in Version 3 that Version 5 simply doesn'...

Re: Adjust position of now playing list [#18019]
Hmm. I hope I haven't made a mistake upgrading to version 5. I've encountered a few things that I was used to either doing or customising in version 3 that I either haven't figured out to do, or I've discovered that they can't be done.

Re: Adjust position of now playing list
I tried doing it from there but that would only allow me to drag to the left or right panel. It wouldn't let me drag to any other panel including main or bottom.

Adjust position of now playing list [#18019]
I've been a longtime user of Media Monkey Gold version 3 and recently bought Media Monkey Gold version 5. I made the change since 5 has a few features I needed which 3 doesn't have but for the most part I liked the layout of version 3 better and have tried to customise version 5 to what I'm used to....

Migrating from Version 3
After using Media Monkey Gold version 3 for a long time I finally made the plunge to version 5 Gold. Why did I move? Mostly because backing up playlists is pretty cumbersome in Version 3 (I lost a bunch and had to rebuild them). I understand version 5 is far better for backing up. Now the reason I t...

Re: Initial Key
Wouldn't it be possible to add this feature to an existing version with an update patch? I mean we're talking about allowing users to edit a single tag. Is that really a complicated change? I know that Media Monkey 5 will have it but I have no idea how far off that is. I actually downloaded the deve...

Re: Initial Key
Is this feature seriously still not in the program? I bought media monkey several years ago and when version 4 came out, it didn't support this field. I figured I wouldn't upgrade until it did since version 3 pretty much has everything I want except that. I thought that a couple of years later, sure...

Re: song key
So now there's a new version of the program does it have support for a key field? I haven't seen it in release notes. I'd upgrade for this feature alone if it had it.

Re: Automatically remove from playlists
There are reasons I don't use auto playlists for some things though. I'd like regular playlists to have this option.

Re: How to get New Directory to show in MediaMonkey
In the My computer node --> right click --> New folder Ok that works. I hadn't looked there since I always work within the 'location' section. I wish creating folders from there was possible also. Saves me having to go down the bottom to expand the my computer icon as I never use that generally wit...

Automatically remove from playlists
Not sure if this is already possible but I haven't found a way of doing it. I'd like a feature that automatically removes songs from a playlist once they've already been played. It's a feature that is probably best turned off by default but there are some cases where I'd like that to happed with a p...

Re: Wishlist: Speed up the Database
I only have one folder monitored and whenever I record/rip any new songs, that's where I put them. From there I move them to whatever folder they're intended for. With a large collection monitoring multiple folders will always be slow. Not sure there's much the developers can do to speed that up mor...

Re: song key
This is definately something I'd like to see. Especially since it's becoming supported now in most DJ related software such as Traktor and Pioneer's recordbox. Having software like mixed-in-key place it in the comment tag is a clunky solution that shouldn't be necessary when it's already part of the...

Re: How to get New Directory to show in MediaMonkey
Ah ok. I always browse the folder structure from the library/location area and there's no new folder option there. Perhaps there should be.

Re: How to get New Directory to show in MediaMonkey
I've had similar issues. When I get music from places like Beatport or rip songs from CDs I put them all in to one folder. I have that folder auto monitored so that anything i put in there is added straight to the library (having only 1 folder auto scanned I find is good for performance). Then from ...
