Re: Should I use DLNA?

I guess that's what I was assuming. The WD drive is managing the library and sharing it through DLNA. MM can access it and play the files in it, but the WD is still in control. Browsing to the folder as a shared drive in MM and letting MM manage the library sounds better. I can let the WD drive mana...

Should I use DLNA?

OK, I feel a bit ignorant in asking this, but I'm trying to determine if I should use DLNA with media monkey or not. :-? I have a home network (2 laptops, 1 desktop) and just purchased a WD MyBook Live for data storage. It's a DLNA server and MM (I have Gold, if that matters) sees it and my music st...

Re: [1459] Microplayer not showing up

Can you elaborate on what files / registry entries you deleted?

Re: [1459] Microplayer not showing up

Well, I fixed it on my Win7 machine. I completely uninstalled MM4. I had to go into the program files folder and manually delete the Media Monkey folder and a few files left behind. Then I reinstalled MM4 fresh, set the option to use the Micro Player and activated the MM toolbar. Unfortunately, when...

Re: [1459] Microplayer not showing up

I've installed twice on two systems with different OS and it happened twice.

By 'clean install' do you mean no MM present on the system prior to install? Both times I had the latest version of MM3 on the system prior to installing MM4.

Re: [1459] Microplayer not showing up

I downloaded 4.0.0.1459 and tried it on another PC running Windows7 Professional 64 bit with the same results. I did not install as portable, I have set the options to minimize to the microplayer and the MM toolbar is enabled. When minimized, there is no toolbar and no tray icon. If the MM toolbar i...

Re: [1459] Microplayer not showing up

Also 1459 on Vista and cannot get the micro player to appear. Verified the setting in MM4 and that the MM tool bar is enabled in Vista. Did not instal as portable.

Re: MM4 Build 1436 - Cannot find network folders

Thought I'd share my experience with an upgrade from MM3 to MM4. All my music is stored on a second hard drive in an XP desktop networked with my Vista laptop and my wife's Win7 laptop. The hard drive is mapped as Z: on the laptops. I upgraded the Vista laptop from MM3, latest version, to MM4 1459. ...

Re: Auto Tagging Fails

No, only the album title was updated when updated form the web. I'm thinking that Amazon doesn't have track info in their database. Take a look here.

Re: Auto Tagging Fails

That post fixed freedb, thanks.

Regarding the auto tag, I've checked all the boxes in the top part of the auto tag window. I think it's just that the Amazon info is incomplete. The freedb info is mostly there, it's just missing the actual track name. That's better than typing it all in.

Auto Tagging Fails

Hello, I have MM Gold 3.2.4.1304 and I'm having issues with getting tags on a new CD. It's a 3 disc compilation from our local NPR station (WCBE) so it's somewhat obscure. However, when I put in disc 1, and select 'get info from freedb' it recognizes most of it - briefly - then the tags all go away....
