There's nothing better than the dev quickly confirming and identifying the issue! It explains a lot.Ludek wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 7:57 am Hi,
thanks for reporting.
You are right, MM5 as windows service clears persistent.json (where the UI settings resides),

MM5 2130: Multiple monitor aware issues
I'm on an insider build of Win 10, so it may be a Microsoft issue, but maybe it isn't. Child windows always open in the "main" monitor, even if MM5 is fully in the secondary one.

View changes aren't saved [#15192]
This is the biggest problem with MM5 for me . I haven't been able to figure out how the "views" think and that controls the user experience which isn't fun right now. I think I found where they're managed, but changes aren't being saved. I have to reset the view columns every time I enter ...

Re: MMS 0.0.5: Metadata parsing error and others
Yes, the C:/Users.... were the default values. I don't use standard Windows directories for media. I saw how to easily change the scanning directories in the browser client.
I'll post those files when I get back home and PM you.

MMS 0.0.5: Experience from MM5
MM5 2124 I added MMS to Devices & Services and no errors. My library is large (4k albums) and when navigating the MMS entry under the Collections and Nodes left hand tree, it spins for a while trying to query MMS and paint the 4k albums. I'm still not clear of the relationship of MMS to MM5. I'v...

MMS 0.0.5: Metadata parsing error and others
Some feedback. On my first startup, there were no crashes. Here's the screen output. I changed the scan directories from Chrome. Some comments for consideration: 1. Offer some simple file system parameters like ignore hidden/system directories. I have to have a Recycle Bin folder in my tree for odd ...

MMS 0.0.5: Initial Setup Questions
I got it running, few Qs for this initial build: 1. Is the mms.exe meant to be started via command line as of now? Put another way, it doesn't install a service or anything automated (yet)? 2. For the purposes of syncing with an Android device, the MM5 service should still be run? It looks like this...

App Error enabling start/cont scan [#15098]
On 2123: I installed and started 2123. No issues. I had scanning set to manual because I had problems in the past with scanning. From the File menu, I selected Add/Rescan and changed the schedule setting from Manual to At Startup & Continuously. AND, I checked Look up track information and left ...

Re: Request: Show details of activity at bottom of the screen
I finally got things to show at the bottom of the screen by clicking on the spinner. I was focusing on the initial startup, "monitoring X of Y", process because that's the only thing that lasts more than a few seconds. For me, I can't get that initial scan status to show at the bottom. Vol...

Re: Request: Show details of activity at bottom of the screen
I can't get that status bar to appear anywhere besides hovering over the spinner. I've switched skins, toggled various window components, maximized the window....
I just got a crash switching skins, so maybe there's something in there.

Re: Request: Show details of activity at bottom of the screen
There is no action that gets that status/activity to pin to any area of the screen. The only thing I can get the UI to do is show the activity when hovering. Question: Are you saying that clicking on the spinner will pin the activity/status to an area of the screen like MM4? I'm not sure you're sayi...

Request: Show details of activity at bottom of the screen
I'm unsure of the proper names of the windows, so I'll type it out. In MM4, when there's an activity like scanning on startup, updating file metadata (from a script), importing files, volume leveling..., we can see the status at the bottom of the screen. In MM5, I see a spinning circle in the upper ...

Re: Crash on Volume Analyze
I just saw this in 2113. The date on this post is 6/10. Was this targeted to be fixed in 2113? I selected about 100 tracks and ran Analyze Volume. It crashed the first time and then I ran it again and it didn't. The interesting thing about the second time: It didn't return a track volume for all of ...

2113: Sort resets during auto-organize [#14913]
There's no crash, so I'll try to describe what I'm seeing. When I add music to the library, I sort the All Tracks view by Added so I can review the files that were just added so i can set my genre, force the update of metadata, and level the volume. I don't know if this is the best way to do this, b...
