Re: MonkeySqueeze Development V2

I agree with these ideas. I was already thinking in the same direction. Goal #2 is the least complicated, although for me it means waiting for 9 seconds. I see a strange behaviour in the progress bar of the Logitech Server. It starts at about 4 seconds, stops after a few seconds, jumps to zero and s...

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development V2

Sorry, but I posted a personalyzed version of the function SyncToggle, with the setup variables as constants.
The code in my previous message has been changed.

Greetings, Katteman

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development V2

I detected some time ago a problem in MonkeySqueeze, but only recently I found the reason and a remedy. When MediaMonkey is started without a track in the "Now Playing" window, you see 'MediaMonkey Player' for both Title and Track near the progress bar. Clicking the enable/disable button i...

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development

I did use the newer versions of Squeezebox Server, but the NAS is not powerful enough for the all the new features. Synology also discourages the use of the later versions on a 207+, so I stick to the old SqueezeCenter.

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development

The main reason for me to use the NAS-based SqueezeCenter is that I sometimes use the Duet controller to play music from the library with 16000 tracks and sometimes a PC program to select music from my total amount of music tracks. SqueezeCenter on the NAS manages only a small selection of my music ...

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development

I tried your suggestions. The PC-based SqueezeCenter behaves better than the NAS version. From the beginning playing a new track stops the current track and starts playing the new track. The NAS version stops playing the current track, but starts the new track only after toggling MonkeySqueeze off a...

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development

I'll try the suggestions and will report it. I had a first view on all the Squeezebox commands, but it is a bit overwhelming. Also the script has some functions that are at the moment not clear to me, for instance SyncToggle and ManualTrackChange. I will try to find out what's happening. One remark:...

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development

I timed the lag for two tracks of 3:00 minutes. One MP3 and one flac. For MP3 the lag was 7 seconds, for flac it was 9 seconds. Perhaps the 15 seconds was once while I was trying to get things working. I am only using the NAS SqueezeCenter now. The NAS is a Synology 207+ with a 500MHz Marvell CPU an...

Re: MonkeySqueeze Development

I am happy with the new versions. Just before the last Beta I changed my port from the Synology default 9002 to 9000 (sigh). I also modified TrackPath to change the MediaMonkey file name to the NAS server file name, and use SqueezeCenter on the NAS. First change backslash to forward slash. Then chan...
