Re: When configuring a new autoplaylist, MM bails repeatedly

I'm always reluctant to try beta versions. A well structured library of 285,000+ songs is a tremendous investment in time. I'd hate to use a beta that accidentally changes my music files, even for relatively small errors that then propagate into my RAID backup unnoticed. And with that many songs, mu...

Here's the complete debug file, in image form, while doing multiple edits on autoplaylist configurations:

When configuring a new autoplaylist, MM bails repeatedly

In the current version: MM 5.0.4.2693 There's a persistent bug in setting up new autoplaylists. It happens pretty regularly but not at the same point in the process. For example, when a parameter is entered on a criteria line, MM bails out to the collection display. If I try to re-enter edit, it sim...

Re: Debugview problematic and hidden on your website

I downloaded 2693 debug version and, as I suspected, I had already installed the debug version, which is my usual practice. Debugview does not record anything when I am setting up or editing an autoplaylist. It just sits there, which is why I thought it had failed. The bug I described is still there...

Re: Debugview preoblomatic and hidden on your website

That's not the bug. I discovered MM5 ignores entries like "doesn't contain Comedy; Aircheck" very quickly. I didn't bother to try Boolean because it is uncommon. The "Any / All" was good clue that I had to stack single lines with individual criteria. I have been entering them one...

Re: Debugview preoblomatic and hidden on your website

I don't chase the Betas. I only change when I receive a notice of a stable version available for upgrade.

Re: Debugview preoblomatic and hidden on your website

By the way. The Autoplaylist edit problem occurred while stacking "Genre does not contain" criteria. I tried stacking them like genres in the collection with semi-colons between genres. That does not work. I didn't try Boolean operators. Is there an easier way to exclude multiple genres th...

Debugview preoblomatic and hidden on your website

I upgraded my hardware and Debugview64 no longer works. The Forum says to reload it but doesn't give the download location. I combed all five main section of your website and used the search function and couldn't find it. Why are simple things like this often difficult in MM? The bug I found is when...

Re: Migration hiccup

Things like this are why I could never convince more than one or two DJs at WORT to use MediaMonkey despite its incredible usefulness when you are on the air or assembling a radio show. It's just too nerdy for most people. When Covid hit, the station physically closed and we all had to submit prerec...

Re: Migration hiccup

Great. "Right click on the drive in the Collection > Location"

Written by someone who knows MM inside out.

I have no clue where to start following those instructions.

Migration hiccup

I moved MM5.0.4.2693 to a new PC. The application moved fine with a clone utility on the system drive. But MM5 does not see the music files which are located in the drive/folder tree of F:\LIBRARY, which I have always used. The music files were copied from a slow 4TB WD HD to a new 4TB nVME SSD loca...
