Only scan for playlists in one folder (UPnP)

I only use MM on my computer that isn't always used. I backup my toons to a NAS but their "home" is on that one computer. On the NAS, I use a folder ("Playlists") that contains al my MM created m3u files that use a relative path for the tracks. I have a few toons folders & th...

Re: Dealing with artists with the same name

I've used that format (Lowlander) for some albums that are different in the UK than in the USA. Rubber Soul (Beatles) is one example of that. Also using the year in an album name if a newer remaster (with "unreleased tracks", etc) comes along; using it in the older versions. I would use it...

Re: How to sort songs in USB car stereo

For me, the easiest way was setting the File Locations in the USB device config to <Playlist>\<Auto Number> <Title> and just right-click-send to whatever playlist to the device.

Re: Possible to remove the video and only convert the audio?

Great tip on MediaHuman for YT to mp3! I tried it after reading your post. Very nice replacement for a FFox add-on I was using over the years!

Art browser with details wish

I like the ability to click on the art and see the associated songs in the playlist. I wouldn't mind seeing, in the 'Art browser with details' window, the now playing art being highlighted or enlarged and focus. Similar to a click but without the text. Another would be have them displayed in playlis...

Re: Wrong 'date' info in "Now Playing"

OK - Disabled in ini file as per: [MP3Tagging] DisableFrames=TDAT;TDRC EnableFrames=TYER 'Clean tags v1 & v2' clear all tags in the file but not library (as noted in the 'Are you sure...' pop-up). Track shows everything except artwork after clearing. Shows in MM not in physical file. Sync Tags r...

Re: Wrong 'date' info in "Now Playing"

I have no section named "[MP3Tagging]" in the ini file. I tried inserting what was found in your link but MM seemingly deletes that edit on startup: [MP3Tagging] DisableFrames=TDAT;TDRC EnableFrames=TYER The link you provided makes sense but no [MP3Tagging] found in the ini file (MM 4.1.20...

Re: Wrong 'date' info in "Now Playing"

Found out a little more about this. Using "Perry's ID3 Tag Viewer", the erroneous year is found in the ID3v2 frame of "TDRC". The CDs that show the wrong year all have that field used. No other ones with "good years" show that field in use. The "TYER" field is...

Default Options for Device Profiles

I would go about changing the default option for Device Profile>Option>File Locations>Music?

I don't mean how to alter/edit/go thru the list but to have my preference be the default with any new device?

Wrong 'date' info in "Now Playing"

I've noticed on a few albums that the date would be wrong in the Now Playing window. The files themselves show the correct year in the tags but not in MM File Properties sheet. On some compilation albums, I'll track down the year for each tune but put the release year in the comments field (ripping ...

Re: Imported playlist removal

[Still no 'Imported playlists' so I blame the renegade fingers] Hefty price tag! I'm more of an XAMPP and MySQL/MariaDB with phpMyAdmin kind of guy at the moment with RapidPHP for scripts accessing the data in the creation of M3u files, HTML with embedded players for a bunch of yearly BillBoard Top ...

Re: Imported playlist removal

And that's the way I've always remembered it as well. Good to know I'm alone - obviously a renegade fingertip or two on my end! On a side note: I've been dabbling with MySQL for a side project - never used it before. I remember you or one of the other MonkeyMen Wizards mentioning about being able to...

Re: newbie help with creating folder structure

I hear you on the life-time event. It's a 'DonateWare' type - fully functional either way. Screenshots: https://www.xdlab.ru/en/screen.htm My best feature with all the garbage files was the 'Generate tags from filename'. Whatever tags are a part of the filename can be manipulated into their proper t...

Re: Imported playlist removal

That's where it was. That should've been very obvious to me and it was one place I had looked. I think that may have been defaulted with an MM update recently? Every time I looked for the cause, I passed over that, thinking it was there before and I know I had no reason to change it after "solv...
