Analyze Volume versus MP3Gain
Hi, I'd like a bit of instruction about the differences between MM3 and MP3Gain when it comes to Replay Gain. I'm not interested in permanently changing the track level, only in doing the analysis so my iPod can use soundcheck. 1. Do MM3 and MP3Gain store the volume analysis in the same tag? 2 ...

Album Volume?
I used the script Menu_UndoAnalyzeVolume and it seemed to work fine. But while it erased the Track Volume tag, the Album Volume tag is the same.
How can I delete the Album Volume tag?
Thanks

Steegy made a script to cater for that: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8464 Read the whole thread before you install. Bex, Thanks for the script! Does it only work when you play the tied songs back using MM? Will the tied songs stay together in my iPod? Gene Yes, the script ...

Hi, genegram, if I remember correctly, one method of doing this is to rip to a big MP3 and a CUE file. CUE files simply say when a song begins. There is a script that added support for CUE files, but I have no clue where it might be. If I recall correctly, the author is trixmoto. In order to rip ...

Keeping tracks together
Hi, Face it, some songs are meant to go together. Like "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions," or most of side 2 of Abbey Road. The songs need to be played back-to-back...that's the way they've been imprinted on our souls. If you rip a CD using the typical approach, these songs end up being ...

Re: Installation Error
Bex, I'd love to use this script, but when I try to install it I get stopped by a dialog box that says, "Installation Error." I'm running Vista, and MM3 version 3.0.3.1140. Any ideas? Thanks! Have you tried running the Monkey as administrator while installing? Not logged in as admin, but by opening ...

Track number tag
Hi, Is there any way to get MM3 to default to a minimum 2-digit track number when I'm ripping a CD? A track number formatted this way would go from 01, 02, 03...99. The way I'm doing it now, is I've formatted the filename with the <track#:2> field. Then, after the CD is ripped I do "auto-tag from ...

Volume Leveling...What's Up (a second attempt)
My first attempt at this question had a couple of replies and I think folks might have thought my questions were answered...they were only partly answered. So here I go again... I've tried to level the volume of my library. I don't seem to have succeeded. The tracks are still, to my ear, very ...

Auto-syncing the same 193 tracks EVERY TIME
Hi... I can do back-to-back autosyncs of my 2500+ collection, and every single time the same 193 tracks are re-synced. I haven't changed anything. I can do the syncs within seconds of each other. I'm using an iPod 30G video and MM3. (I never had this problem with my Zen Vision:M, by the way.) Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Teknojnky, I appreciate the help understanding some of the issues... but ... I'm still not clear on MM3's implementation of track leveling. Why do my tracks still seem "unlevel?" Why does MM3 still insist on leveling every track (including already-leveled tracks) even when I've ...
