Re: Is there a wrapper script for database interaction?

When I open a copy of the MM5.DB and then load the extension SQLite3MMExt.dll from a folder and copy of it I created separately from MM5, I get the message:

Error loading extension: The specific procedure could not be found.

Re: Is there a wrapper script for database interaction?

I want to execute 360 lines of SQL that look like this: UPDATE songs SET Custom1 = '009' WHERE albumartist = 'Coldplay' AND album = 'Viva la Vida'; I have this program that did not work: Module mainModule Sub Main() Dim sdb As Object sdb = CreateObject("SongsDB5.SDBApplication") Dim dbo As...

User profile service error 1530

Media Monkey is not unloading the user profile when it should and I get this error populating my error log: Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function...

Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other

You need to make sure the DLNA server service is not retaining registry keys. You should open the registry when you need it and then close it so that a system shutdown does NOT generate these kinds of warning events. Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or servic...

Re: MM Service and App Services

Yes they will as soon as they need to create a playlist or manage their library. Perhaps you are looking at the design in very technical terms and not primarily at the general user operational need for persistent DLNA server functions and separate management functions. I do not get your logic most o...

Re: MM Service and App Services

Lowlander, I run a setup like this and I DO have the problem I am describing. The problem has nothing to do with NAS or other devices. When you have this setup, media streaming from the service IS interrupted when you run MM. Media streaming IS interrupted again when you close MM. This is not accept...

Re: MM Service and App Services

I have the service installed and I have the problems described above. These problems are directly related to the "headerless" service being installed and running and THEN logging in and running MM. I hope you will understand this important issue. In my view, the function of the service is ...

Re: MM Service and App Services

So here is the reason why the suggestions I have made in this thread need to become part of the design in a new release. MM needs to have two application components: a server and a management client. A user should be able to control when and how the server runs with the following options: 1. Server ...

Re: MM Service and App Services

I agree that the MMW Application needs to be a player and needs to be able to manage the media database, create collections, playlists, and adjust options for the server, etc. The MM Application does NOT need to include the DLNA server really. It could be that the MM Service operation is controlled ...

Re: MM Service and App Services

PS: I don't care if the MM Service and MM Application are duplicates of each other as long as I have control over which process will serve each of collections. The ones I want on-line all the time will be served by MM Service. The ones I am building and testing would be served by MM Application (onl...

Re: MM Service and App Services

I never suggested that you make it required. I suggested that you have an "Install MM Service" and an "Uninstall MM Service" option and give complete control to the user. What I DID suggest is that for any collection being served, for the reasons you state in your reply, you shou...

MM Service and App Services

I am not sure why you think it is a good idea to have the MM application stop the MM Service and have it start again when the MM application stops. This sound complicated. If the MM Database is shareable between the two processes, then can you not consider this approach to design: 1. MM Service inst...

UPnP Server as a Synology Application Service and more

I would like the media server component to be implemented as a service for Windows (as requested under other wishlist items). I would like the same media server component to be available as a Synology NAS application. For use on Synology, the directory structure and attribute database could be maint...
