Re: MM crashes on Alt-Tab since Win 10 Update 1607

Yes, several, actually. I've also re-installed MM, restarted, and when it still crashed, I installed the debug version instead and sent some crash reports with it. Interestingly enough, I found that I can also get MM to crash now when I'm using Ctrl-Mousewheel to zoom in or out of documents open in ...

Re: What kind of user are you?

I was instantly sold on MM the moment I was ripping a CD with it and found that in the target path you could use $if{ }-Statements. The only feature I'm still missing after all these years are freely combinable && and || statements in auto-playlists.

MM crashes on Alt-Tab since Win 10 Update 1607

Hey all, I just updated my Windows 10 yesterday with the 1607 major update and ever since, MM behaves weirdly: When it's open I can't alt-tab to other windows (or use keyboard shortcuts that open other programs, like a web browser) without the MM process terminating instantly and without any message...

Re: Audio CD handling in Windows 10

Hm, that works. I find it a bit weird, though - that drive mapping had always worked fine under Windows 8.1 :-?

Audio CD handling in Windows 10

Since upgrading to Windows 10 I'm experiencing unusual behaviour when trying to play and rip audio CDs in MM (4.1.8.1751) using my Sony Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7260S (mapped to drive letter A:\ in Windows). I'm trying to track down the source of this behaviour, as I'm not entirely sure (yet) whether this ...

Re: Sorting of fields does not differentiate between v and w

I knew they are pronounced the same, even though both are used. I did not know, however, that they were actually even treated as the same letter in terms of alphabetical sortings  - thanks for that explanatory peace of info. As it once again appears: it's not a bug, it's a feature!

Re: Sorting of fields does not differentiate between v and w

Hm, I think I found the issue that was causing this weird sorting behaviour. It didn't have anything to do with colons, as Oul suggested. Instead, I use to have my Windows regional settings (not the system language settings, however) set to 'Finnish' in a rather strange way to attempt to learn the F...

Sorting of fields does not differentiate between v and w

Since I'm alphabetically going over a large number of artists in my database, towards the end I noticed that Artists (and eventually probably entries of any field, for that matter) starting with the letters v and w are apparently treated equal, i.e. shown in mixed order, in my library: https://dl.dr...

Re: Advanced Auto-Organise mask

Thanks a lot, Lowlander! I ended up using >=A and <=Z in the end, however (and the length of my rule seems to have doubled once again) - but it works as promised. @martinstephenbanks: I can't imagine calculated fields to work and as far as I know there is no MediaMonkey feature with which you could ...

Advanced Auto-Organise mask

Hello there, currently I'm trying to create a super-fancy rule for my library to get it auto-organised properly, however I got stuck on a rather special case: My current rule sorts in an <Album Artist:1> folder on my top level of organisation, however I have a few bands starting with a number (e.g. ...
